Building for the Future

We believe in the progress we have made under Success by Design and feel that its objectives will provide a strong foundation to continue to build upon. The heart of a university’s strategic plan is its institutional vision: what the university is working towards as it seeks to fulfill its mission. ÎÞÂëרÇø’s current vision statement is as follows:

ÎÞÂëרÇø will be nationally recognized for being a student-ready, regionally-engaged university that empowers diverse learners for economic and social mobility.

Reflecting on the tenure of Success By Design, ÎÞÂëרÇø has sought, and in many cases achieved these desired outcomes. We have continued to redefine ourselves in order to provide a more welcoming environment to foster student access and success, and developed many new, exciting partnerships at the local and even international level. Moreover, in recent years ÎÞÂëרÇø has been nationally recognized for its exceptional value and the positive impact on the social mobility of our graduates.

We believe that this vision accurately reflects the current state and future direction of ÎÞÂëרÇø and will serve as a guiding light as we transition to our next strategic plan.

Preliminary Listening Sessions

Kicking off the planning process in April 2024, four open listening sessions were held, during which we received valuable insight into our perceived strengths, challenges, and opportunities for the future. The information gathered served as an excellent starting point for our committee and constituents to begin the planning process.

Fall
Open Forums

Building on feedback received in Spring, a series of themetic forums were held focusing on organizational culture, student success, and regional engagement. Feedback recieved during these forums and through online submissions was heavily utilized as the committee worked to build a preliminary framework for our next strategic plan.
