The Haile Research Lab is excited to welcome Justin Roush, Assistant Professor of Economics at Xavier University, for an insightful discussion on how information cascades impact insurance demand. Humor is a powerful tool on social media, but brands often avoid it out of fear of backlash. However, new research from Haile College of Business professors Anh Dang and Jose Saavedra Torres shows that playful roasting—when done right—can lead to higher engagement and positive brand sentiment compared to traditional brand praise (toasting). Our Student Spotlight features Hami (My) Doan, a senior at ÎÞÂëרÇø. She is pursuing a degree in Marketing at Haile College. Originally from Vietnam, My has a rich blend of academic and professional experiences. At ÎÞÂëרÇø, she serves as a Research Assistant at the Human-Computer Interaction Lab, focusing on technologies like Large Language Models and webcam-based tracking for cognitive assessments.

This week's faculty spotlight is Chip Heath. He is our Director of Online Learning at Haile College of Business. Chip is being featured because of his embodiment of the value of innovation. He is spearheading a new special topics class this fall on using AI in marketing. Chip already has a solid 43 students enrolled.

Zac Strobl Wins 2024 NKY Chamber Next Generation Leader Award

The Haile College of Business at ÎÞÂëרÇø congratulates Zac Strobl, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, for receiving the Next Generation Leader Award. The Next Generation Leader Award recognizes professionals aged 40 or younger for significant contributions to their field, demonstrated leadership ability, and impact they have in their community.
